The Roger A. McMurtry School is a nonpublic school accredited by the Mississippi Department of Education (school number 2480) that creates an atmosphere where individualized instruction, educational track and student goals are the priorities. Each teacher is accredited in the areas they teach, as well as special education endorsed. The school has a GED program, where students can work toward, take and earn a GED. The school also has students earning a High School diploma, Life Skills certificate or a Mississippi Occupational diploma. Graduation ceremonies are planned at the agency once a student has earned his or her track of education. Each classroom has a SMART Board (interactive white board) for both teacher and student instructional usage, the school has a library and a computer lab.
